She lived a long and fulfilling life, growing up in the town of Monticello.
Her family moved to Winters when the Monticello Dam/ Lake Berryessa were built. She graduated from Winters High School and married her high school sweetheart, Bill Fredericks, who later died in a plane crash in 1955.
In 1956 she married George Alcock and they were married 50 years until he passed away in 2006. Over the span of 50 years, George and Veneva lived in Winters, Bodega Bay, Aptos, Gridley,Sierra city and their beloved Costa Rica, which they referred to as "their Heaven on Earth".
She is survived by her and children, William Henry Fredericks of Truckee, Steven George Fredicks of Oroville, Victoria Fredricks Murphy of Brooks, Lisa Alcock Bricker of Santa Barbara, George Alexander Alcock of San Vito,Costa Rica,Andrea Alcock Fox of Sacramento and Janet Alcock Farmer of Oregon;13 grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; Aunt, Matilda Belz Pascoe of Oakland; nieces and nephews.
A gathering to celebrate and honor her life will be held Saturday, May 8, at Tomat's Restaurant in Winters 12-3 p.m.
