Mamie Sue Young, 91, passed away on November 4, 2013 at her daughter's home in Bronson, FL. She was born on August 2, 1922 in Kibbee, GA to Alonzo Atkins and Mary Jones Atkins. She was a member of New Berlin Road Church and enjoyed fishing.
Mrs. Young also enjoyed spending time with her large family. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years Horace Luther Young, her parents, a daughter Sandra Young, a son Wendell Young, grandsons James and David Coleman and great granddaughter, Taylor Young,
Survivors include daughters, Mary Jones (Lee) and Delores Thoele (Joe); sisters, Ernestine Lewis, Audrey Black, Oletha Carnett (Frank) and Estelle Collins; 13 grandchildren, Lori Anne Young, Kenneth Young, Angela Fouraker, Pamela Teemly (Len), Mary Marchand (Travis), Brian Williams (Harmony), Kaycee Williams, Rachel Knight (Jordan), Jacob Thoele, Lynn Sharp and Christopher LaBelle; 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, November 8, 2013 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
