Dixie Ann Wells, 66, of Ford City, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot. She was born July 13, 1947, in Kittanning, a daughter of Cyril "Moe" and Elizabeth Dzugan Wells. Dixie was a lifelong member of the local area. She retired from Armstrong County Memorial Hospital with 40 years of service. She was a member of the National Wildlife Federation and the Nurse's Association. Dixie enjoyed hiking around Crooked Creek, spending time outdoors, feeding the animals around her home and taking her parents on car rides. She is survived by her parents, Cyril "Moe" and Elizabeth Wells, of Ford City; brother, Rickey S. Wells, of Ford City; her cat, Tanner; and Rickey's dog, Kane.
