Funeral services for Edress Aline Bagwell, 88, of Ragland were Monday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. at Usrey Chapel with the Rev. Lowell Douglas and Brother Doug Ford officiating. Burial is at Ragland United Methodist Cemetery. Mrs. Bagwell died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013. Mrs. Bagwell was a resident of Ragland. She formerly lived in Birmingham for 25 years. She retired from Aladdin cleaners after 21 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Bagwell Sr.; her brother, William Edward "Bill" Meads Sr.; and her sisters, Audrey Bastedo and Johnnie Mae Henderson. She is survived by her sons, George L. (Sharron) Bagwell Jr. and William E. (Shelia) Meads Jr.; daughters, Georgette Bagwell and Leona B. (Lowell) Douglas; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gray's Chapel Church in Ragland. Usrey Funeral Home directed the service.
