MAXINE M. (HILSMIER) COLLINS, 93, passed away on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Har bour Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born in Decatur, Maxine worked as a sales associate with Baldwin Dow Ladies Apparel. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed writing stories, flower gardening and being a homemaker. Surviving are her son, Larry D. (Bonnie) Hilsmier of Fort Wayne; sister, Betty Rodenbeck of Huntington; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband, Thurman Collins; parents, Charles and Hazel (Graham) Folk; six sisters; and one brother. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Richard Maassel officiating. Calling also from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial in Prospect Cemetery, Ossian.
