Our sweet Sharla returned to her Heavenly Father on November 3, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Sharla was born December 24, 1955 to Parley (Ike) and Lucille Cundick Glover in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Hillcrest High School and went on to graduate from cosmetology school.

She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Ned Burningham, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple for time and all eternity on April 2, 1976.

She enjoyed working as a hair dresser and administrative assistant as well as serving in numerous church callings, but her true calling and passion was that of a stay-at-home wife and mother.

Sharla was very devoted to her family and loved her grandchildren beyond words. She was a wonderful companion to her husband and a great example of motherhood, selflessness, and unconditional love to her children.

She enjoyed many vacations with her family that were filled with love, laughter, and inside jokes that will forever be treasured memories. We will miss Sharla's quick wit, her wonderful sense of humor, and the way she made everyone feel loved. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Sharla is survived by her loving husband of thirty-seven years, three children: Chris (Crystal), Carrie (Paul) Lynch, and Carli Burningham, and brothers: Steven (Beverly), Rod (Kim), and Bryce (Michelle), as well as five beautiful grandchildren that were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her granddaughter, Maddison.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Three Mile Creek LDS Church, 1290 West 2950 South, Perry, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, and prior to the services at the church on Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
