She was born on December 11, 1939, to the late Lester Bud and Hallie Overby Wilson.
Annie Bell was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She also was a chartered member of True Word Baptist Church for 27 years and a Sunday school teacher for 20 years.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband Jesse Bowman of the home, one daughter, Rita Faye Hazelwood; three sons and daughters-in-laws, Carl Dean Bowman and Debbie, James Robert and Faye Bowman and Ed Wayne and Bonnie Bowman; three sisters and husbands, Nonnie Minnie Mae Jones, Edith Clara Brown and Roger and Mildred Ann Goins and Kenneth; one brother, Lester Junior Wilson; nine grandchildren, Dean and Lisa Bowman, Kaci and Brandon Burley, Stacy Bowman, Anna Bowman, Angel Bowman, Ashley and Brandon Lawson, Jason and Ada-Lee King, Abby Collins and Matthew Collins; eleven great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Kaden, Peyton, Liliana, Colton, Carter, Jackson, Jaden, Nolin, Alayna and baby Waylon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Bud and Hallie Overby Wilson; two sons, Kenneth Ray Bowman and Jesse Bowman, Jr. and three brothers, Otis Wayne Wilson, Troy Wilson and Arthur Wilson.
Funeral services will be at True Word Baptist Church on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Joyce and Bro. Don Collins officiating. Interment will follow at True Word Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
Other times, family and friends will meet at the home of Robert and Faye Bowman, 314 Old Ridge Road, Mt. Airy.
