She was born in Oregon on October 3, 1917, to Floyd and Mary Pearl (Mills) McLure. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Ms. McBride and her husband, Robert, were actors in New York City and summer stock in Connecticut from the late 1940s through the 1950s. Her husband was vice president and Far Eastern representative with Irving Trust in Hong Kong, where they resided for 15 years. Family members said she was a world traveler, talented seamstress and knitter, writer, author and artist.
Predeceased by her husband in 1991, Ms. McBride is survived by her niece, Kathe, of Barre, VT, and her great-nephew, Jason, of Seattle, WA. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Richard, in 2004 and sister-in-law, Dorothy, in 2013.

Gravesite Details
Arrangements were handled by Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. Interment was at Cutchogue Cemetery.
