W. M. Kemp was born on 15 Oct 1928 in Gorman, Eastland County, Texas to George Lawson Kemp and Kinnie Elizabeth (Sparkman) Kemp. He died on 02 Nov 2013, along with his wife, Katie Merle (Jackson) Kemp, in a automobile accident. He was 85.
He married Katie Merle (Jackson) Adkins on 10 Jun 1995 in Jal, Lea County, New Mexico. They were both active members of Calvary Baptist Church. W. M. retired as an Area Superintendant from El Paso Natural Gas Company. His wife and he enjoyed traveling to blue grass festivals. In his spare time, W. M. enjoyed woodworking, and they both enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Pauline (Algood) Kemp; four sisters; and one brother. He is survived by six daughters, one son, thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, and a host of friends.
