MCDERMOTT, Doreen Agnes (nee Hunt/MacGillivray)
April 29, 1940 ~ January 20, 2010
Doreen McDermott of Hinton, AB passed away on January 20th, 2010 at the age of 69 years. She is survived by her long time partner and best friend Bernie Hamer; son Murray (Christiane) MacGillivray of Edmonton; her daughter Gail Boone of Red Deer; her son Glen MacGillivray of Edmonton; her granddaughter Lynsey Boone Schiller of Red Deer; her father Alfred (Ruby) Hunt of Westlock and her sister Beth (Tom) McMorran of Edmonton, as well as numerous relatives and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother Catherine Hunt, her brother Gordon Hunt and her grandson Ryan Boone.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Westlock Funeral Chapel with Pastor Marjorie Steele officiating. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association or Canadian Foundation for the Study of Sudden Infant Deaths c/o 10004 - 105 Street, Westlock, AB T7P 1V2. Westlock Funeral Home Ltd. 780-349-3474
