Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mike Fisher, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013, at The Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend Emitte Belgard and Mr. Mike Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Big Island Memorial Gardens.
The family asks that visitation be observed Wednesday, November 7, 2013 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and resume Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Mr. Fisher, 67, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
Mike was a member of Martha's Chapel Free Methodist Church, Deville and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a sales representative for State Chemical Company for twenty years and went on to be a salesman for M & M Dodge for many years. He was an avid hunter and professional bass fisherman, fishing many tournaments. He was a loving companion, father, grandfather and brother that will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fredrine McKay Fisher and a son, Robert Fisher.
Those left to cherish his memory include his faithful companion, Tammy Belgard; father, Mike Fisher, Sr.; sons, Joey Fisher and wife, Christi, Chris Wenkel and wife, Ashley; daughter, Jennifer Fisher Johnson and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Christin, Catie, Jake, Baylee, Blake, Piper, Preslee and a sister, Sandy Childress and husband, Gary.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Ricky McMickens, Mikel Tassin, Mike Corley, Jason Jarred, Beau Edwards and Taylor Corley. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Jenkins, Frank Melder, Benny Spruill and Steve Smith.
