LOVELADY - Services for T.O. "Dude" Deaton, Lovelady, 93, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Chapel, Ada, the Revs. Joe Howry and Tony Peak officiating.
Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Deaton died Jan. 18, 2003, at his home. He was born Aug. 7, 1909, at Lovelady to George and Mittie Hudson Deaton. He was a lifelong resident of this area and attended schools in Happyland, Steedman and Lula.

He married Lavonia Jared on May 21, 1933.

Mr. Deaton was a rancher and was also employed with Pontotoc County District #1, retiring in 1974 after 25 years of service, He was a charter member of the
Lovelady Baptist Church since June 1946.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Meeks.

Survivors include his wife, Lavonia Deaton, of the home; a son, Odell Deaton, Ada; four daughters, Patsy Coffey, Mary Reynolds, Debbie Christian, all of Ada,
and Terrie Smith, Norman; a sister, Delena Hazlett, Madill; a brother, Volley Deaton, Ada, and Verlie Deaton, Borger, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-
grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Bearers are grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

Honorary bearers are Si Taylor, Bill Snyder, C.B. Sowards, Bernard Smith, Perry Don Ross and Charles Null.

Criswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
