Flight Sergeant James Brock, Service Number 409983, of No.14 Squadron, was one of six airmen killed with two survivors when their Beaufort A-314 crashed at approx. 2227 hours, about four miles N.E. of Northampton, W.A.
F/Sgt Brock was a wireless air-gunner.
In civilian life he was farmer of West Gippsland, Victoria.
He spent two and a half years with the 29th Battalion A.M.F. prior to his discharge to join the R.A.A.F.

AIR ACCIDENT.
Six Men Killed.
In an aircraft accident in this State on Sunday six members of the RAAF, including four from WA, were killed. Two members of the aircraft escaped uninjured.
The six who were killed were as follows:
RANDALL, Flying-Officer John Maxwell, of Queen's road, New Lambton, N.S.W..
FORBES, Pilot-Officer John McPherson, of Beverley, W.A.
BROCK, Flight-Sgt James, of Hallora, via Drouin West, Victoria.
ANDRE, LAC John Jeffery, of Andrews street, Esperance, W.A.
RASTON, Thomas Noel Ryder, of Kellerberrin, W.A.
SMITH, LAC Harold William, of Canning-highway, Perth, W.A.
Survivors are F/Sgt K.J. Clarke & F/Sgt J.J. Callaghan
