Daughter of William and Olive Gaines. Pat graduated from The Westminster School then attended Oglethorpe University. She was a member of the 1966-67 Atlanta Debutante Club.

Pat lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. She is survived by her fiance, her son and his wife, granddaughters, sisters, nephews and many friends.
