The death of Mr Harold Edward "Ritta" Kerin of 73 Goldsworthy Road, Claremont, occurred on Wednesday after a long illness at the early age of 19 years. The Rev. Father J. Fahey of the Claremont Presbytery conducted the last rites.
Mr Kerin who was familiarly known to his friends as "Ritta" was born at Subiaco and had lived in Western Australia all his life. After completing his education he was apprenticed as an electician to Mr. W Mobbs of Claremont. He was particularly fond of sport and was an active member of the Claremont Cricket Club (B Grade) and the Claremont Amateur Football Club, the Claremont Swimming Club and the Nedlands Metropolitan Junior Football Club. Mr Kerin was of a quiet disposition, a good sport and popular with all.
