Christopher R. Austin, 59, of Tully, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born in Syracuse, he was an avid skier. Chris owned and operated Austin Plumbing in Syracuse. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd; sister, Nancy Baran and brother, Timothy. Chris is survived by his daughter, Allison (Mark) Dingman of Tully; sons, Eric (Amy) of Manlius and Brian (Meghan Wickman) of Cicero and two grandsons, Riley and Logan Dingman. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Susan Wuster; mother, Leila Austin; sisters, Susan Hunter, Virginia Austin and Maureen (Arthur) Ogden; brothers, James (Terri), George and Matthew and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 8 at Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God Church, 450 Wilkinson St., Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Otisco. Friends may call on the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 7 at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
