Arthur B. Franklin, 72, of 4939 Abilene St., Santa Susana, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Rev. S. A. Renzi will officiate at 1 p.m. Monday services in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Simi. Burial will be in Oakland Memorial Park, Chatsworth. Friends may call at Reardon's Simi Valley Mortuary.
Mr. Franklin, a retired house painter, moved to Santa Susana two years ago from Van Nuys. He was born Oct. 24, 1894, in Burlington, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie; daughters, Mrs Betty Clement of Simi, and Mrs. Helen Connelly, Santa Suzanna; sons, Robert and James, both of Reseda, and Arthur and Leslie, San Francisco; sister, Mrs. Florence Reynolds, Paramount; 14 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
