Mrs. Temple N. Bickell, 73, of 726 Kansas St. died at 8 p.m. Monday in Anna-Henry Nursing Home, where she had been a patient three months.
Mrs. Bickell had been a resident of Edwardsville for 37 years.
She was born Jan. 18, 1898, in Higbee, Mo., a daughter of John and Mary Roberts Smith.
She was married to Elton Earl Bickell on April 3, 1916, in Beatrice, Neb. Her husband survives.
Mrs. Bickell also leaves sons, Rollin Bickell of Granite City, Harvey Bickell of Edwardsville, Albert Bickell of San Antonio, Tex., and Earl Bickell of Tell City, Ind.; daughters, Mrs. Edith Snyder and Mrs. Otis (Marion) Snyder, both of Edwardsville, a sister, Mrs. Edith Willis of El Paso, Tex., 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bickell was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge of Edwardsville and of Immanuel United Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church.
Friends may call at Weber Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, with Rev. Philip Gardner, pastor of the church, officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Sparks, Rick Henry, Jimmy Dycus, Gene Kirk, Leroy Morris and Edward Bickell.
