Robert C. (R.C.) Seifert, 92, of Jamestown, Mo., died on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Moniteau Care Center in California, Mo. He was born August 18, 1921, in Moniteau County near Wooldridge, Mo., the son of Fredrick and Phoebe (Garrett) Seifert. On February 24, 1946, he was married to LaVera (Clark) of the home. He was a farmer and worked in construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards with friends and was a member of the NRA. He was the oldest member of Grace Methodist Church in Jamestown, Mo. He is survived by one son, Lanny Seifert (Linda) of Hallsville, Mo.; two daughters, Helen Poehlmann (Edwin) of Jamestown, Mo., and Carleen McDonald (Gary) of Centertown, Mo.; six grandchildren, Ron Poehlmann, Brenton Seifert, Carol Gilpin, Tena Wilson, Cheryl Poehlmann, and Ashley Seifert; nine great-grandkids, and two great-great-grandkids; half-sister, Carla Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eddie Seifert; two grandsons, Dale McDonald, Robert Poehlmann; two brothers, Joe Hugh Seifert, and Jack Seifert; two sisters, Alean Daly, and Virginia Holtgrewe; step-mother, Faye Seifert, and foster mother, Clara Muri Preul. Funeral services will be at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home in California Mo. Pastor Lewis O'Dneal will officiate. Interment will be at the Grace United Methodist cemetery in Jamestown, Mo. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Cemetery Fund, or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
