GREENSBORO - L. Bruce Willis, 77, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel.

Bruce was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a classic car and old toy enthusiast. He was an officer and member of the General Greene AACA for twenty-six years. Bruce worked for Traveler's Insurance Co. and retired after a thirty-seven year career. He was very active in the community of Hurst, Texas, being a member of the Parks and Recreation Board, Chairman of the Solid Waste Committee, City Councilman, Mayor Pro Tem and earned the Key Man Award from the Jaycees of Hurst, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Loretta; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Nancy; grandchildren, Heather, Mike and Andrew; brothers, Wayne (Ramona) and Glen of New Caney, Texas; three nieces and nephews also of Texas.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Forbis and Dick Guilford, 5926 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC.
