Lela Mae Weaver, 77, of Beggs, OK passed away at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was born October 24, 1925 in Waynesville, MO to Jim J. Adkinson and __. She later married Bill (Chief) Weaver; he preceded her in death in 1989.
Others that preceded Mrs. Weaver in death are her parents, two brothers Ralph Adkinson, Joe Adkinson and a sister Lillian Finley.
Survivors include a son Bill Weaver of Beggs, a daughter Judy Shanks of New Mexico, five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and several great –grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Beggs with Pastor Lisa Sowers officiating. Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery in Beggs under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at the Funeral Home from 12:00 noon till 4:30 pm.
Casketbearers will be Bill Shanks, Tommy Young, Eddie Young, Ned Hodge, Jeff Fults and Joshua Brown.
