Arnold Hamilton Crawford, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Vestaburg, Mich., died Aug. 10, 1999 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, 1999 at the Clark Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Bartlett and the Rev. Rolla Timmons officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Gardens Cemetery in Alma, Mich. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Chapel on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the Prospect Park Church of God. Mr. Crawford was born Jan. 26, 1911 in Confluence, Penn., the son of Hamilton Jacob Crawford and Leah Myrtle (Heavner) Crawford. He married Eunice Sabin on Jan. 11, 1936 in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. Mr. Crawford was a member of the Church of God in Edmore and more recently a member of the Prospect Park Church of God in Mt. Pleasant. Arnold had worked for the Pure Oil Co. as a Pump Station Engineer from 1928 to 1963 when he retired. He is survived by wife, Eunice Crawford of Mt. Pleasant; children, William Crawford (Janis) of Stanton, Mich., Kathleen Looman (Therm) of Mt. Pleasant, Jim Crawford (Shirley) of Shepherd; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer Crawford (Nellie) of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Mina VanSickle of Baltimore, Md., and Ida Whiteman of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Crawford, Leah Belle Montague, Nellie Courter; and brother, Theodore Crawford. [no source noted]
