LOUIS ANTHONY "TEX" BUONO

~Louis "Tex" Buono, age 90, of Dover, N.J. passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 in Fort Mohave, Ariz. Mr. Buono was born June 30, 1923 in Dover, N.J.

~Mr Buono was a WWII Veteran and received a Purple Heart, and worked at the Yuma Proving Grounds for many, many years.

~He loved his family. He also loved country western movies, music, yodeling and whistling with his guitar.

~He was preceded in death by his parents, Assunta Buono and Giovanni Buono.

~Mr. Buono is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mrs. Edith L. Buono; four sons, Charles Buono, Kenneth Buono, Raymond Buono, John Buono; two daughters, Deborah (Dennis) Fewer, Florence (George) Staten; sister, Ms. Filomena Nielson; twelve grandchildren, Sherri Spragg, Chano Buono, Channell Buono, Joseph Buono, Anastasia Buono, Chiara Buono, Megan Buono, Molly Buono, Norreen Simmon, Valerie Leyva, Chuck Phipps, and Naomi Martinez; twenty-two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and friends; and two devoted friends, Mr & Mrs. George Martinez of Yuma, Ariz.

~A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Desert Lawn Cemetery, 9250 S. Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, AZ with Rev. Pete Kinney officiating.

~In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to be made to American Legion, Post 19, 2575 S. Virginia Drive, Yuma, AZ.,85364.
