~ JULIUS E. ALLISON ~ age 76
Social Security Number: 346-16-7723, Illinois
Father: Walter Allison (B: Mar 1884, IN) S/o Gabriel Allison
Mother: Ruth Allison (B: 1892, IL)
Stepmother: Eddia Crocker Allison (B: 1904, IL)
Stepsister: Flora F Allison (B: 1930, IL), several Crocker children
Sibling: Max Wesley Allison (B: 1916, IL)
Recollections: Julius aspired to be a preacher and was a member of the Pentecostal Affiliates of Gospel Assembly Churches (Body of Christ), founder, William Sowders, in which I was raised. I am not sure that Brother Julius ever had a church, but he was usually identified with and sat with the ministers at various meetings. Julius was a stout, short man and when he preached from the podium his head was just visible. Bro. Julius projected a caring fatherly nature. Julius never married to my knowledge and his church family was his family. I first remember him living in Eldorado, Illinois, where he stayed close to leading ministers in the association, like Vachel Davis, T. M. Jolly and William Whitlow. As a child growing up in the church, Julius just fit in with the younger people, except wiser, yet, never seeking to stifle one's own opinion.
Last I heard of Julius was that he and Brother Whitlow were living in Texas. God Bless Julius a true and loving Christian who loved the family of God.
Departed this Life: 11 Sep 1995, Houston, Harris, Texas 77037
