Services for Emily McCall, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Caseyville with burial in the church cemetery. R. E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 2 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with family present from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mrs. McCall, 98, died June 21, 2007, at her residence. She was born on Aug. 16, 1908, to Richard Coleman and Martha Dixon Coleman.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Zion M. B. Church,where she served on the mother board, was a deacon’s wife, usher, secretary, choir member, and the church clerk for a number of years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Sherman McCall; her sons, Joseph, John C. and Sherman McCall; her daughter, Bessie Lee Stewart; her brothers, Richard Coleman, Luther Coleman, and Johnny Buie; and her sisters, Sarah Sanders and Pearline Brothern.
Survivors are her sons, the Rev. R. C. McCall and Luther McCall,both of Brookhaven; her daughters, Alice Henderson, Emma D. Allen, Dorothy Smith and Alean Eley, all of Brookhaven, and Mary Frances Bell, of Muskegeon, Mich.; her sister, Mary Washington, of Brookhaven; 51 grandchildren; 107 great-grandchildren, 61 great-great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-great grandchildren.
