Obituary
CLEVELAND-Billy Mack Cochran, 82, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Hospice Care of Chattanooga.
Bill was a dedicated and faithful Christian and loved his church, North Cleveland Baptist Church. For 51 years, he served as a deacon and was a Sunday School Teacher and was a partner in the Cleveland Roofing and Air Conditioning Company until retirement in 1998.
Preceded in death by his parents, Willie Nelson and Leela Masengale Cochran; four sisters, Mary Dillard, Mildred Matthew, Wilma McSpadden, and Doris Pope; three brothers, Harold, Deland and J.C. Cochran.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sandra Mathews Cochran, of Cleveland; two sons, William (Deneas) Cochran, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Mark Cochran, of Cleveland; daughter, Laura and (John Mark) Moore, of Cleveland; his sisters, Thelma Benton, of Paducah, Ky., Lillie Sweet, of Crossville, Tenn., Shirley Norman, of Clarkrance, Tenn.; brother, Paul Cochran, of Dayton, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah (Whitney) Smith, Jennifer (David) Matikke, Marcus (Tracy) Cochran, Cory Cochran, Wil, Jake, Matthew, Lee Young; his delight and pride, five beautiful great-grandchildren.
Services are Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. in North Cleveland Baptist Church. Dr. Jay McCluskey and Dr. Danny Ruehling will officiate.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. today at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at North Cleveland Baptist Church.
Interment: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery, Spring City, TN.
