GALVESTON — Velma Henry, 84, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011, at U.T.M.B. Hospital. She was born in Galveston, Texas on January 12, 1927. She had worked as a secretary for Sacred Heart Catholic School and was retired from the Galveston County Clerk’s office after 10 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband David A. Henry, Sr.
She is survived by her son David A. Henry, Jr.; grandson David A. Henry III; and loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Velma’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of The Meridian for their loving and compassionate care.
Per her wishes, private funeral services were held.
