He received a hope in Christ at an early age under the pastorate of Elder Adrian Wheeler, the former pastor of Westeastland Church of God in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Shannon attended Gallatin Senior High School where he played football for the Varsity Football Team. He was employed as a processor at Rich Products also known as Byron's.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Laura Vaughn and Eugene and Catherine Collier; and cousin, Kenyatta Vaughn.
Shannon leaves to cherish his memory, children, Serenity, Leah, Janeshia and Aisa Collier, all of Gallatin, Tennessee; parents, Ronald and Laurice Collier; brother, Ronnie (Megan) Collier of Bowling Green, Kentucky; four nephews; three nieces; devoted friends, Jermaine McMurry and Adrian Turner; step grandmother, Mrs. Maxine Collier of Hendersonville, Tennessee; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
