He was a retired truck driver and a Mason. He served his country as a paratropper during the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ripley.
Survived by his wife, four sons, a daughter, three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maude M. Neely Hardin; two brothers, Adrian and Doyle Hardin; and a grandchild.
McBride Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. There will be a private memorial at a later date.
