Born April 5, 1911, at Forest Hill, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Maggie Beasley Woodrum.
Marguerite was a retired nurse, having worked at Hinton Hospital. She was a member of Community Christian Church in Hinton and attended First Christian Church of Hinton. She was a former Sunday school teacher at Community Christian.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Ray Maddy, on Feb. 16, 1969; her second husband, Woodrow W. Higgenbotham, on July 8, 1989; a son, Robert Ray ?Mopey? Maddy, on Dec. 6, 1964; a brother, Robert Woodrum; three sisters, Edith McDowell, Ethel Jones and Ruby Petrey; and a nephew, Robert McDowell.
Survivors include nephews, Bob Petrey of Hampton, Va., Charles Petrey of Cleveland, Ohio, and Frank Petrey of Yorktown, Va.; and a niece, Dorothy Williams of Killeen, Texas.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Pivont Funeral Home Cha-pel, Hinton, with the Rev. Tommy Mounts and Minister Gary Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, Forest Hill.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
