Daniel Kane Richmond, "The Gentle Giant" 66, died on November 30, 2012, surrounded by his family at his home in Raymond. He was born on December 17, 1945 in Salem, MA. Formerly of Manchester and Bedford, NH, he has been a resident of Raymond since last February.
Dan was employed for many years as a manager for Sylvania GE, and was a member of the Sylvania Motorcycle Club. He was also a talented quilt maker and was a member of the Amoskeag Quilters Guild in Manchester, from whom he received an award for his volunteer work within the community. He created and donated many beautiful quilts to many veterans groups and children's hospitals. A dedicated family man, Dan was instrumental in raising funds in support of his granddaughter Danielle whose disability required the assistance of a service dog.
