Glenda Mae Mitchell, 67, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013. Born in Greenville, MS, she was the daughter of the late William, Sr. and Victoria Johnson Brown and the wife of the late Hardy Mitchell, Jr.
She was a preschool teacher at Community Action Program for forty-two years and was a member of Rays Temple, Lancaster.
She is survived by the following children: Greg Mitchell, Gwendolyn Sheppard, Samuel Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Curtis Mitchell, and Tawanda Reeves, two brothers and five sisters, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Glenda's Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 528 W. Orange St. (corner of Orange and Pine Sts.), Lancaster. There will be a viewing at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private interment.
