Myra Ann Bailey, 81, of Bartlett died November 1, 2013. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with visitation one hour before services. Interment Fayette County Memorial Park. A member of Bellevue Baptist Church, she leaves her son, Kevin Bailey (Rhonda) of Bartlett and four grandchildren. Obituary provided by Find A Grave contributor David Mayo (48529350): Myra Ann Mintert Bailey, resident of Bartlett and retired secretary departed this life Friday morning, November 1, 2013 at the Rainbow Healthcare Center in Bartlett where she resided for three years. She was 81 years of age and died following a brief illness. Services of Remembrance for Ms. Bailey were conducted at 10:30 A.M. Monday, November 4th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Joe Jernigan of the Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland. Ms. Bailey was born April 28, 1932 in Alton, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, August Mintert and Annie Brinkman Mintert. She received her education in the West Alton, Missouri Public School System and had been a resident of the Memphis area and West Tennessee for a number of years. She served as a secretary for the medical industry in the Memphis area before her retirement and was a devoted member of the Bellevue Baptist Church, where she participated in numerous church activities that included the Bellevue Forerunners Organization. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Team. Flowers and special times with her grandchildren were an important part of her life. In earlier years, she enjoyed volunteering for local elections and being involved with the Bartlett Historical Society. Ms. Bailey is survived by her son, Kevin Bailey (Rhonda) of Bartlett; and four grandchildren, Ross Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Nathan Bailey and Anna Bailey. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Mintert. Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to Love Worth Finding Ministries, 2941 Kate Bond Road, Bartlett, TN 38133.
