Services for Mr. Leon Arthur "Boos" Jacob, Sr. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2002 at St. Richard Catholic Church with the Father Kenenth Michels officiating. Burial will be in St. Richard Cemetery, Marksville under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Mr. Jacob, 87, of Marksville died Wednesday, August 14, 2002 in Avoyelles Hospital, Marksville.
He is survived by four sons, Tillman Jacob of Marksville, Henry Lee Jacob Sr. of Alexandria, Leon A. Jacob, Jr. of Pollard, La. and Sheldon Gilbert of Flint, Mich.; six daughters, Almatine Jacob Dison, Eura Lee Jacob Hayes, Maeola Jacob Hall, and Betha Lee Jacob Gossett, all of Marksville, Hilda Jacob Porterie of Port Arthur, Texas, and Jerry Mae Jacob Branch of Glenmora; and two sisters, Thelma Elie and Virgie Elie, both of Alexandria.
Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2002 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, August 24, 2002 at 8 a.m.
