He was born July 22, 1943, in Perry, Okla., to the late Harry Sr. and May Schultz.
He served in the Army during Viet Nam from October 12, 1966 to February 21, 1968.
He graduated from Billings High School in Billings, Okla. On February 28, 1970 he married Kathy Ann Musson in Melvin, Ill., and she survives.
Roy worked at Cargill for over 30 years. His hobbies included football, coin collecting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Kevin Leach, of Attica, Ind.; son Mathew Schultz of Williamsport, Ind.; and grandchildren, Spencer, Preston, and Emma Leach. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Kay Judgens of Talala, Okla; Cleo (Joyce) Schultz of Waggoner, Okla.; Joyce DeBoard of Ponca City, Okla.; John (Becky) Schultz of Ponca City, Okla.; Steve (Charlotte) Schultz of Morrison, Okla.; Naomi Schultz of Ponca City, Okla.; and Darrel (Terri) Schultz of Ponca City, Okla.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rodena Pelner, and a brother, Harry Schultz, Jr.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at the Stockwell United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Berg officiating.
