Isaac "Ike" Fredrick Allen
1941 — 2013

Isaac Fredrick Allen passed away at the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California, on August 4, 2013, at 4:49 p.m. He was 71 years old.

Ike was born in Prague, Okla., on Nov. 19, 1941, to parents Fredrick Harry and Rosa Mae (Holder) Allen. The family moved to the Kern County area when he was two, and other than while serving proudly in the United States Army, he remained in Tehachapi until his passing.

After 47 years of employment at the Monolith Cement Co., now Lehigh Cement Co., Ike retired to a life filled with activities and, most importantly, more time with his family. He liked roping, car racing, hunting, birds, and golf. He was a member of the Team Roping Association and the N.H.R.A. (National Hot Rod Association). "Ride, Cowboy, Ride!"

Ike's family has described him as a man of strong will and high integrity. His passing leaves a great void in the lives of his loved ones. Left behind to mourn are his wife, Cheryl Allen; children, Sara Allen, Rena Allen, Kenny Shinn and Steve Shinn; siblings, Edward Allen and Violet Tiberghien; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Rosa Allen; and his sister, Ruth Imogene Allen-Martin.

A visitation and time with his family was held on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Wood Family Funeral Service Chapel. For condolences please visit www.woodmortuary.net.
