Homa Lee Minton Decker, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (November 1, 2013) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on November 11, 1927, in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel Highbaugh Minton.
She was very social, and never met a stranger she didn't love to talk to. She enjoyed reading (especially her Bible), singing, watching gospel shows on television, and growing beautiful flowers. She loved attending church and was a member of the Leitchfield Church of God since 1977.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Delbert Decker; four children, Jerry (Wendy) Decker of St. Lucie, FL, Jean (Paul) Finn of Kannapolis, NC, Chesteen (Don) Smith of Leitchfield, Joyce Bratcher of Elizabethtown; one sister, Fay Metcalf of Elizabethtown; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary Decker, and four brothers, Charles, Chesteen, Jesse, and Ted. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (November 4, 2013) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Antioch General Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
