Seminole Indian War of 1818. Thomas Mosley was a farmer in Montgomery Co., Ga. He appears on the 1820 census of Montgomery Co., Ga and remains there until his death. He received land for his services in the Seminole Indian War of 1818. In the 1850 census he owned 3500 acres of land and his father Brantley Mosley age 95 was living with him. In 1851 the Montgomery Co. Inferior Court appointed Thomas Mosley Sr. to examine and report as to the expediency of dividing the 51st District so as to make two of it.
