Vernon passed away at his home in Manson surrounded by his loving family and wife of 65 years. He was always either working in the orchard raising apples and his three boys. His passion was always to own an orchard and due to his father-in-law, who helped him get started, he was able to live his dream. Along the way came three boys and their lovely families. Manson was their home but they also have a second home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, thus becoming a snow bird. In his later years he learned to play golf, which became his second passion after his family.
