Dorothy M Beckler, 82, Enjoyed Embroidery

Dorothy M Beckler, age 82 of Lorain, died Sunday Dec 12, 2004 at the New Life Hospice Center of St Joseph following an extended illness.

Miss Beckler was born in Lorain on January 9, 1922, and had been a life long resident of the city.

As a youth, she attended St Joseph Parish School in Lorain and was also a member of St Joseph Catholic Church. At the time of her death, she was a parishoner of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church also in Lorain.

Dorothy was formerly employed as an assembler for the General Industries Corporation in Elyria. Her interests included embroidery and working crossword puzzles.

She is survived by brothers Raymond of Lorain and Harvey "Ricky" of South Amherst; along with sisters Betty Kish and Barbara Barnhart of Lorain. She was preceeded in death by her parents William and Anna (nee Webber) Beckler, by a sister Geraldine Beckler, and brothers James and William.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 in the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Ave Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel with the Rev Daniel O Divis, pastor of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
