ROCHELLE IRIS RED STONE, 25, Cannon Ball, North Dakota, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, in Cannon Ball. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in the Youth Activity Center, Cannon Ball, with Revs. Evans and Ion Elk officiating. A Wake Service begins at 5:00 PM, Monday, November 4, 2013, at also in the Youth Activity Center. Burial will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Cannon Ball.

Rochelle was born July 2, 1988, at Fort Yates, to Lee Long Chase and Dalette Red Stone. She was raised and educated in Cannon Ball, and graduated from Solen High School in 2006. She attended United Tribes Technical College. Rochelle worked as a cashier at the Quick Mart, and as a porter at Prairie Knights Casino. She enjoyed listening to music, spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her mothers, Dalette Red Stone (Curtis Brave Bull) and Corstella Ponga; three sisters, Venita Ponga, Cannon Ball, Skye Long Chase, Bismarck, and Carmen Eagle Boy, Sioux City, Iowa; three brothers, Darrell White Lighning, Delmer Ponga Jr., and Darien (Cindy) Red Stone, all of Cannon Ball.

Rochell was preceded in death by her fathers, Lee Long Chase and Delmer Ponga Sr.; two brothers, Vern Ponga and Dalton Black Cloud; grandfather, Dale Red Stone; grandmother, Thelma Bull Bear; great-grandparents, Irene and Joseph Left Bear and Christine and Jo Long Chase.
