Lynda Burleson Wise, age 54, of Newland died October 29, 2013 at Watauga Medical Center. A native of Avery County, she was born June 8, 1959.
She was an Owner and Floral Designer for The Flower Shop for the 13 years and was a member of Fletchers Chapel Presbyterian Church.
Along with her mother, Lynda has left to cherish her memory her: husband, Robert Wise of Newland; son, Kyle Wise of Newland; step-son, Cain Wise of Newland; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Ted Greene of Boone; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Denise Burleson of Newland; sister and brother-in-law, Martha Jo and Bruce Buchanan of Newland; nephews and niece, Kevin Greene of Anaheim, CA, Nicholas Greene and wife Liz of Fayetville, AK, Robert Burleson of Denver, CO, David Burleson and fiance, Nicole Bohan of Newland, Quentin Burleson of Raleigh, Brooke Buchanan of Newland, Devin Buchanan of Fort Polk, LA; best friend Lisa Cornett of Morganton.
Lynda lived by the motto Life's too short, be the first one to hit the dance floor. Her only request was for Old Time Rock & Roll to be played at her service and for everyone to celebrate her life not mourn her death.
Funeral services were conducted in the Grandfather Chapel of Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Wise officiating. Interment in the Fletchers Chapel Cemetery.
