Mrs. Leona "Sally" Marie Woods Wilson Wallace, age 72, of the Finney section of Honaker, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday (October 31, 2013) at her home. Born September 29, 1941 in Wynonna, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Quinten and Nora Susan Carte Woods. A resident of the area for the past thirty-nine years, she was a member of Outreach Temple in Wysor Valley, Virginia. She was employed by Mammaw's Place and formerly at David's Grocery & Deli both in Honaker, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis (O.K.) Kent Wallace, five brothers, Ernest (Buster) Woods, Donald Woods, Kyle (Billy) Woods, Roy Woods, and Don (Ricky) Woods, Jr., and one grandson, Ronnie Dean Musick.
Survivors include two sons, John Wallace and wife, Renee of Honaker and Stephen Wallace of Barberton, Ohio; six daughters, Susie Short of Richlands, Tammie Hart and husband, Buck, and Dottie Musick and husband, Johnny all of Finney; Judy Johnson and husband, Carl of Hansonville, Lisa Garra and husband, Bryan of Spencer, Ohio, and Tracy Ludrosky and husband, Clarence of Parma, Ohio; one honorary daughter, Frances Baker of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Talmadge Woods and wife, Linda of Cleveland, Ohio, and Michael Woods and wife, Sandy of Honaker; one sister, Jessie (Pete) Calvert of St. Paul, Virginia; special friend, Betty Cook; twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to two granddaughters, Michelle Goins and Becky Stevens for the care given, to nurse, Rex, of Bristol Regional Medical Center, and the nurses with RCMC Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Ray Coleman and Rev. Arvil Arwood officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Brian Stevens, Wes Goins, James Stump, Ronnie Musick, Adam Baer, Markie Ruggles, Michael Baer, and Jeremiah Musick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Grandsons and the Members of Outreach Temple.
Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Saturday.
