In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Eugene "Bud" Burns. Her daughter Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Burns of St. Louis County passed away Wednesday, October 30, 20l3.
She is survived by sons Thomas Burns of Festus and Patrick Burns and wife Courtnie of Farmington, Missouri, a brother Bernard "Bill" Perry, Jr. and wife Suzanne of Crystal City, Missouri, grandchildren Emma and Ethan Lattimore, Caroline and Anna Burns.
She was a member of Church of Our Lady in Festus, a retired elementary school teacher and educator for the Festus R-6 school district, President of the Festus R-6 School Board of Education which she had served on since 1999, former President of the Joachim Golf Club Board and member of the Joachim Golf Club Ladies League.
