She was born Sept. 13, 1936 in Bellevue to the late Claude "Pet" and Pauline (Idle) Thompson.
She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1954. She worked for the Bellevue school district in the cafeteria, the Huron County Board of Elections, but mostly for GE and Lightning Resources.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed many crafts, but especially devoted and loved her grandchildren, children and husband.
She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Roth, whom she married Dec. 1, 1956, daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Don Downie of Bowling Green and Cynthia and James DePolo of Bellevue; sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen M. Roth of Bellevue and Mark A. and Sandra Roth of Clyde; eight grandchildren; a sister, Jodi Matter of Bellevue; and two nieces.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, with a rosary service at 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be private.
