Solomon Hyatt, aged about 46 years, died of Yellow Jaundice, at his farm residence in Tiverton Township, Thursday of last week. The funeral services conducted by Rev. Lewis Walker were held at the Disciple church on Friday afternoon, following which the remains were deposited in the cemetery near the Church. Deceased was a upright citizen and a staunch Democrat. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his departure. For many years Mr. Hyatt maintained a faithful membership in the Disciple Church. -- The Democratic Standard, November 18, 1898
