He was united in marriage to Della M. Bowman, March 29, 1885 at California, Michigan and to this union one son, Floyd, was born. On September 12, 1891, he was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He leaves to mourn his son, Floyd, with whom he has made his home for the past three and one-half years; a daughter-in-law, Mabel; two grandchildren, Charlotte McClellan of Butler, Indiana and George William Cassel, Paulding, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Linda Kaye and Gail Jean Cassel, and Rex Allen and Terry Lee McClellan; a sister, Kathryn Cassel, of Toledo, Ohio; two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 21, in the Saints church with Claude Smith, minister, officiating. Burial was in South Scott Cemetery.
