Stephen Patrick Conner, 24, of Knoxville, Tennessee left this life on the morning of October 28th, 2013. Stephen was born on March 7, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Aubrey Forrest Conner and Melinda "Mendy" Simpson Conner. He is the third of four sons that have blessed our family.
Stephen's brothers are Geoffrey Grey and wife Kelsey Conner, Robert Daniel and wife Christine Conner, and Thomas Alexander Conner. His life brought un-estimable joy not only to his parents and brothers but also to a large extended family and friends that he leaves behind including his grandmothers, Nana Lee Simpson of Jacksonville, Florida, Norma Elise Wadsworth of Provo, UT, and his grandfather, William Joseph Conner of Dublin, Georgia. The list of aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncles and cousins are too numerous to list individually but Stephen took great pride in his Southern heritage and in becoming the favorite cousin to both the young and old. He also leaves behind a special girl, Nicki Briere.
Stephen had the gift of bringing laughter to all he encountered. He loved to pull a good joke and when he found you were gullible, you were in big trouble. Stephen loved the out of doors and spent considerable time hiking, swimming, biking, camping, and rock climbing. He and his brothers loved spending time together with his family.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Athens, TN with Bishop R.L. Pitcher officiating. Interment will follow service in Green Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends, Thursday, October 31st at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
