On May 17, 2010, Bill crossed over the Great Divide. He died as a result of complications of Alzheimer's. He was lovingly taken care of by the nurses at Edgewood Vista.

Bill was born on July 3, 1933, in Creston, Iowa, to Clair Lewis Dunlap and Jennie Catherine Roberts Dunlap. He was a crop duster, flight instructor and charter pilot. He then operated his own businesses, Northern Sales and Service and A&A Bumper. He was married to Darlene Lenhardt. They were later divorced.

He was a cowboy at heart, but also proud of his Scottish heritage. He loved the old ranch by Ingomar that was an original homestead he inherited from his grandfather and father.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina (Bill) Cook; son, Troy (Sherri) Dunlap; grandchildren, Danielle and Taylor Cook, Raiden and Gavin Dunlap, Kris Vogel; and a sister, Pat and family from Iowa.

He is also loved and greatly missed by his caregiver and best friend, Bonnie.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Mountview Cemetery.
