Former Knoxville Man Struck by Train at Addison
Stepping out of the way of Erie train No. 4, Curtiss Burrell, aged 75 years, walked to the other track directly in front of fast express train No. 13 at Addison, NY at 11:45 o'clock Friday morning, and was killed instantly. The accident occurred a short distance from the Burrell home. The aged man's son was the first one to arrive at the scene of the accident to identify him. The decedent was a native of Knoxville, PA and worked in tanneries in northern Pennsylvania before removing to Addison. The decedent is survived by four sons - Louis of Addison; Claude, Curtis, Jr., and Leo Burrell of Corning; one daughter, Mrs Minnie Hamel of Painted Post; one sister, Mrs Minnie Woodward, of Penn Yan, and one brother, Smith Burrell of Tuscarora.
